Wednesday November 11, 2009 SHOW #254 -- "Chiefs @ Raiders Pregame"
TOPICS: Segment #1: "A Tribute To Al Davis"........Why? On this week's "Raiders Report", a TV show that airs weekly on the west coast and also is available afterwards on Raiders.com, they featured a one hour special entitled: "Al Davis: An AFL Legend (Looking back at Raiders owner Al Davis' contributions to pro football). It was a very well produced program, and Raider Greg tells you how he felt as he watched it, and the information that the program contains. We recommend that you watch the show yourself. Here is the website url that will take you straight to the video: http://www.raiders.com/media-vault/videos/Al-Davis-An-AFL-Legend/5371556c-3ad7-4d4a-ab52-d571143e392a Segment #2: "Cable Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" Greg talks about the never-ending controversy surrounding Coach Cable. Raiders CEO Amy Trask is heading up an investigation into the matter and she's working with and reporting to the NFL. "The NFL has triggered an evaluation process under the personal conduct policy for Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable to determine whether he needs mandatory counseling...logistics are being communicated for a timetable in which Cable will be evaluated by independent doctors". Where will be the outcome? Here are a few good articles relating to the issue: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4638636 http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawakami/2009/11/08/morning-1-2-3-trask-running-the-cable-investigation-harbaugh-thoughts-spotlight-on-49ers-d/ http://tfdssports.com/2009-articles/november/commentary-cable-deserves-patience-despite-allegations.html Segment #3: "Raiders Fan vs Raiders Fan" Half way through the 7th consecutive disappointing Raiders season, Raiders fans are becoming stressed out to the point of attacking one another on blogs, forums, etc. Disagreements, accusing other fans of being less of a fan, etc. Raider Greg shares his observations on the matter. Segment #4: "Queef The Chiefs!" The Pregame Show for this weeks home game vs. the Kansas City Chiefs. They let for most of the game in K.C., and the Raiders stole a victory in the final two minutes. The Chiefs will want to take an early lead in this game and hold on to it this time. The Raiders will want to do the same, since they have a hard time coming from behind in games. Plus, the Chiefs are one of only a few teams left on the Raiders schedule who have a losing record. The Raiders can't afford to lose this game. Raider Greg gives his thoughts. TOPICS: Segment #1: "Bengals @ Raiders Postgame Show - VICTORY!" We celebrate the 20-17 win last Sunday at the Coliseum. Raider Greg tells you the story of our day, beginning with the always great tailgate party Tailgaters Barbecue Party "The Bad Boys of BBQ". We had the Crusader Raider Keith Smith for the 2nd home game in a row, and Keith finally got to witness a win...for the first time in 4 years. The last was against Buffalo in 2005. Keith comes over every year, and it is about time he got to do some real cheering. We also got to interview a group of very confident Bengals fans before the game (and the few we could find after the game). We will air that interview soon on our Raider Nation Videocast, but we give you some audio from that in this podcast. Also, be sure to watch Raider Mike's great VIDEO REVIEW of the Bengals game here: http://video.yahoo.com/watch/6484286/16812807 Segment #2: "Dallas Cowboys Pregame Thoughts" Greg gives us a little snippet of a pregame show for the Cowboys.
