In the video he's wearing a plastic top and bottom, then another regular hooded sweat shirt over the plastic one. Plastic doesn't allow your sweat to evaporate. Any weight loss is just water loss, and the water is replaced as soon as you drink anything. Plus, it's unhealthy because you can overheat and possibly even get heat stroke. Read the article on it:

I was encouraged by the one fact that he has run a pro-style offense at Ohio St.
I just watched a highlight reel and I hate to admit it, but at his height with his agility, stiff-arm and speed he looks like a young Randall Cunningham. I'd still make him a receiver ala Hines Ward, a former QB also . But they say he's going to play QB. We'll see if we have 4 QBs on the roster opening day.

the rule was that two offensive players couldn't touch the pass. if the ball had bounced off tatum, or both tatum and fuqua, then harris could have caught it. but if it only hit fuqua, then another steeler couldn't catch it.

i just started reading the book "badasses" and the author talks about that play, saying the video of the endzone shot has been lost. but if you google "immaculate reception," you'll find the video on youtube.

43 seconds into the clip, they show the endzone shot and you can see that the ball hits fuqua and not harris. or at least that's how it appears in the tiny video. i remember watching this on my DVR, with a better picture, and it's pretty obvious the ball hit fuqua and not tatum.

but what a stupid rule. who cares if the ball hits one offensive player ... why even make that rule in the first place?

Doesn't that seem weird? The AFC Championship Game on December 30th? It's because there were only 14 games in the season. The regular season ended on December 14th that year.

This video (split up into 4 YouTube videos) doesn't show the entire game, but it isn't a highlight film. It's parts of the game, as the game was actually broadcast....with the entire intro...including the old NBC Sports NFL theme music. Really brings back memories. I was almost as young as Juan then!

In the intro, they said a lot of people were calling this "the REAL SUPERBOWL"....that the Dolphins and Raiders were the two best teams in the NFL. They said that earlier in this 1973 season, the Raiders had ended a Dolphins 18 game win streak. Remember, the Dolphins won back to back Superbowls in '72 and '73 (and lost in the '71 Superbowl to the Cowboys)......so the Dolphins were the defending Superbowl champions coming into this AFC Championship game with the Raiders...following the Dolphins perfect 17-0 season in '72.

Thank you Randy! These pre-date my Raiderhood (I was 2 yrs old) but I love to see our legends on film. These were the guys who drew me in as a kid and to see them play in this era is very special. I 'ripped' them before they take em' down!

Although the Raiders ended up losing this game, and the Dolphins went on the win their 2nd consecutive Superbowl, the Raiders got revenge the following year in '73 by knocking the Dolphins out of the playoffs....only to come up short of the Superbowl themselves due the "immaculate reception" in the '74 AFC Championship game....and the Steelers went on to win their first Superbowl.

Didn't the Immaculate Deception happen in 1972? In a divisional playoff game? The Raiders lost to the Steelers (even though the endzone camera shot clearly shows the ball bouncing off Fuqua), and then the Steelers lost to the Dolphins in the AFC Championship.

P.S. Help me with the rules....the ball bouncing off of Frenchy Fuqua made Franco Harris' reception illegal? The ball can't bounce off of one offensive player and be caught by a guy on the same team? Is that the way it works. (now I'm embarrassing myself even more with my ignorance).
