RAIDERS TALK and Discussion, plus Raiders 2016 Schedule and Draft Class / NFL Playoffs 2016
« Last post by Randy on September 01, 2016, 01:09:49 PM »
The Raiders sent out emails to season ticket holders yesterday, offering early-bird discounts if you "opt-in" (before September 18th) by agreeing to purchase postseason tickets in Oakland, if the games take place. You must give them your credit card number now, but you aren't charged until the Raiders are guaranteed they will play each playoff game in Oakland.

The playoff ticket pricing is reasonable. Actually, if the Raiders play in the wildcard round, the price of that game would be exactly the same as a regular season game (ranging from $25 per seat in the 3rd deck to $150 in the club section). Check out the price chart by seat section. A 3rd deck seat would only run you a total of $113 for the entire playoffs (wildcard game, divisional playoff game, and AFC Championship game). You would only "pay as you go". You aren't charged for a game until it's guaranteed that game will take place in Oakland.

Season ticket holders who opt-in, also receive 500 points on their MYRAIDER NATION account, redeemable for various items.

I'M IN!!!!

Segment #1: Raiders Mid-Preseason Assessment

We didn't do a postgame podcast after the Raiders first preseason game with the Arizona Cardinals, so in this show we'll recap that game as well as the second preseason game vs the Green Bay Packers. It's only preseason, but Raider Greg has some concerns, and so does the voice of the Raiders Greg Papa, and we'll hear some comments he made in that regard from his Afternoon Delight radio show on 95.7 The Game.

Segment #2: Tennessee Titans @ Oakland Raiders Preseason Game #3 - Pregame Thoughts

The third game of the preseason is supposed to be the preseason game most like a regular season game, complete with game planning. But the Raiders will be playing the Titans, who they play in game three of the regular season. Regardless, Raider Greg wants to see what the Raiders can do, even if it gives something away to the Titans.

Sacks: Khalil Mack, Oakland Raiders
Will finish with: 19 sacks       (2015 rank: No. 2, with 15)

Mack has great quickness and ability to rush the passer. He's a competitor who never gives up; he always keeps after his quarry. Even if he's momentarily run out of the play or turned around, he finds a way to zero in on the quarterback. He didn't rack up many sacks as rookie -- when he was used mostly as a linebacker -- but he really came on strong last season, especially from Week 12 to Week 15, when he notched 10 sacks. Mack was unblockable by the end of his second pro campaign. His position coach, Jethro Franklin, is a great teacher, and the Raiders really focus on the pass rush, spending about twice as much time on it as everyone else does.
