IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: There will be no podcast next week after the Patriots game, as we will be traveling early in the week to London for the Dolphins game at Wembley Stadium. We'll be getting video there for Raider Nation Videocast.

Show 417 TOPICS:

Segment #1: Texans @ Raiders Postgame Analysis

Raider Greg was at the game and he shares his experience starting with a great home opener tailgate party and ending with the loss to the Texans. He called Houston Sportstalk radio 790 AM when their host Matt Thomas was asking for "delusional Raider fan callers". He promised Matt that he would call back on Monday after the game regardless of the outcome, so we hear both calls.

Segment #2: The Dennis Allen - Reggie McKenzie Countdown Timer has started

Some people are speculating that Dennis Allen won't make it through the season. They are wondering if Reggie McKenzie's job is on the line after this season also. We look back at the hiring of Coach Allen, what he promised at his introductory press conference, and we examine what he's accomplished and the state of the Raiders today.

Segment #3: Raiders @ Patriots Pregame comments

Just pray baby.

Segment #4 “The Boneline” Voicemail Segment

You can call in to the Boneline and get on the podcast yourself. Toll-Free 1-800-620-7181. Try to keep your call around 2-3 minutes long. If we get a lot of calls we may not be able to air all of them, so make them good. Preference may be given to first time callers. Sorry if your call is not aired. Raiders Games 2014 / Re: Week 2: Texans @ Raiders - Sunday 09/14/14 - 1:25pm Pacific

We are the worst team in the league.  It's not even close.  Our beloved team is an embarrassment.  One of the worst things when you are a fan is that your team is irrelevant.  We haven't been relevant since that SB in 2003.  This team has no identity, no passion and no clue.  They have no leader and the the coaches must go immediately.  We have seen around the league what happens with good coaching - good coaches immediately make an impact with their new squads.  I don't want to sound like a broken record with Dennis Allen but he is awful.  He embodies everything that is NOT a Raider - he will never be.   This team has actually regressed under this buffoon.  I am so furious, it's like we are cursed.

Raiders Games 2014 / Re: Week 1: Raiders @ Jets - Sunday 09/07/14 - 10am Pacific
« Last post by SoulPatrol on September 09, 2014, 04:55:36 PM »
Carr had the play book memorized back in July. Yet DA insists to continue running the same conservative play calling they used for Pryor and McGloin last season.  DA is too timid and plays "attempt not to loose games" instead of opening it up and "Just win" the damn game, baby.

Judging from the play selection the playbook must be a collection of about 8-9 napkins stapled together...written in crayon...big crayon.

I thought I hated Callahan, but D-umb A-ss has me spitting nails, and shitting whole sea urchins.

I actually had a glimmer, a wisp of hope this year. Maybe 6 wins, OMG 8 would be like Superbowl excitement for me. Just be competitive, show improvement, punch someone in the mouth once in a while, show a spark, keep it close.

If this worthless hump is still HC at week 8, he and RM should be run outta town one step in front of a murderous mob.

Houston next, with a high quality D, maybe D-umb A-ss can pull out a flea-flicker.....fuuuuuuuuuuug ::)

Fire. Them. All.
Then go down to any, and I mean any, high school in the immediete vicinity, and hire both their coaches. At least then amateur hour would just make me shrug and go "well, they are amateurs".

The way we were calling the plays meant they could pretty much stack the box each play, in turn nullifying any chance of having a decent run offense. The Jets had a weak secondary and we made them look like shut down defenders out there, not attempting to stretch them even once until the game was over. We never gave ourselves a chance.
