Lockouts, gov. shutdowns WTF has happened to this country where 2 groups can't negotiate and find common ground
ITS THE ULTRA RICH CONGRESS THAT HAS LOST TOUCH WITH THE WORKING AMERICAN...MONEY TALKS AND THE WORKERS ARE SCREWED.....THERE IS "NO" REPRESENTATION OF THE COMMON AMERICAN IN THIS COUNTRY....THEY LET HUGE COMPANIES TRANSFER JOBS TO THE THIRD WORLD AND ALLOW THEM TO SELL PRODUCTS HERE....TO US....WITHOUT ANY RESPONSIBILTY...THEY DONT PAY TAXES BUT HAVE HUGE HOMES IN PALM SPRINGS AND NEW YORK ECT. THOMAS JEFFERSON HAD IT RIGHT.."WHEN THE PEOPLE HAVE NO REPRESENTATION IN GOVERMENT ITS UP TO THE PEOPLE TO TAKE THE GOVERMENT BACK BY ARMS IF NESSESARY" THIS IS WHERE WE HAVE COME AND THE ULTRA RICH AND POLITITIONS ARE CLUELESS AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT THE MAJORITY IN THIS GREAT COUNTRY....THE OWNERS OF NFL TEAMS ARE PART OF THIS MESS......UNTIL THE FANS GET IT....AND STOP SENDING THESE TEAMS MONEY WE WILL SEE THE SAME GO ON IN THE NFL....

Can't believe that we've picked up Rod Woodson, Al Saunders, The Wiz & Chucky B this offseason.

Every motherf#cker in Raider Nation has been speaking for the last 7 years about coaches not wanting to come to Oakland, Whilst it's true in terms of Premiere Head Coach, This coaching staff we have essembled is going to do wonders for guys progression.

I am so fired up with these additions to the Coaching Staff.
AMEN! Lets hope this mess is cleared up soon so they can Coach these guys!

I love the move! I've been critical of Davis since the Cable firing BUT I must say I really like the staff Hue or Al is putting together.  Rod is a the ultimate pro off and on the field.  I assume Chuck is the DC but just hasn't been announced since he now has two players (who were leaders) of his D when he was last DC.

Even after working with all the Raider haters on NFL Network, he's still a true Raider. By far one of my most favorite Raiders pick-ups in my time.

Still wish we had Charles on the team too.

Just read on the book "facebook" Greg Biekert has been retained as our LB coach!!!!

That probably increases the likelyhood that Chucky B is our DC

Quite honestly all i can say is that I am glad this did not take all off season to make decisions on coaches. I am glad we have our main core of coaches and now they can get together an focus on the free agents and upcoming draft. They all should be in an office talking and on the phones with our free agents to figure out deals and looking at videos for FA's.

The bad news (to some) is that we lost 5 coaches from last year's Raiders staff.
The good new is...

we still have Sanjay Lal!

http://www.insidebayarea.com/ci_17196058?source=most_viewed

on a side note....what's up with Willie Brown still being on the Raiders coaching staff? Didn't he announce his retirement about a year ago? I don't remember any statements after that saying he had changed his mind. Does anyone remember?

WOW.....ANOTHER RETRED...RECYCLE....RETARD......HE WAS NOT THAT GOOD AS I REMEMBER...ANOTHER YES MAN FOR AL TO TELL WHAT DEFENSE TO USE......NOT LOOKING GOOD FOR US NEXT SEASON...IM NOT SEEING THE GOOD IN THE MOVES BEING MADE HERE.....BUT DID ANYONE THINK A GOOD COACH WOULD COME HERE UNDER AL DAVIS.......I WAS ALMOST SURE JOE BUGEL WOULD BE BACK WITH ART SHELL AS A LINE COACH......WTF RAIDERS?

Well Greg, do you know who the other guy was (Joe Cullen) that the Raiders were reportedly considering for defensive coordinator? When he was with the Detroit Lions, he was arrested for pulling up to the drive-thru window at a Wendy's restaurant....naked. He also was arrested a 2nd time, within the same month, for DUI. Maybe Bresnahan wasn't a bad choice between the two?

http://www.buzzle.com/editorials/9-8-2006-108055.asp

LOOK.....I dont care if he is NAKED or drunk as long as he wins........"Chuckie B." has a HORRIFIC record with the Bungles.......Lets hope he does a better job here with the tallent we have here......Its funny that NONE of the coaching prospects from the playoff teams was even interviewed.......Go figure..... :-\

Gruden was saying good things about him in January 2001:

http://articles.sfgate.com/2001-01-10/sports/17578485_1_raider-staff-raiders-defense-defensive-backfield-coach

and another article...this one from when Gruden hired Bresnahan in January 2000:

http://articles.sfgate.com/2000-01-22/sports/17635935_1_oakland-raider-defensive-backfield-coach-jon-gruden

but then there's this Bengals fan's Facebook page entitled, "Fire Chuck Bresnahan!"

From Raiders.com news page:

Former Raiders Pro Bowl G Steve Wisniewski has joined the Raiders coaching staff as assistant offensive line coach. Wisniewski says, "I’m a Raider for life. The Raiders [are] my first love. I can help in technique, help in mindset and attitude and really push these young men to develop and to be the heartbeat of the team."

I for one am tickled shitless! I love Steve Wisniewski like HellRaider loves King Richard  :P I hope it's not bullshit but that is their "official" page.

Great hire.  Awesome to see the love Steve has for his former team.  What  a heckuva player he was.  Good luck Ski!

I believe Tom Cable had creative control on his staff of coaches. Sometimes with these super young guys who don't have the coaching connects due to their time on the planet (ie Lane) but until Tom comes out and says, "Al made me take on this guy", then the evidence points to the coaches having control (Tom and Hue worked together at UCLA)

& how about Randy Hanson? He was effectively fired after the year 'cause of cable and for doing nothing wrong. He was kept around 'cause duty of care and the Raiders org having to look after the victim.

Look at Hue picking up Saunders. They worked together at Baltimore and Washington.

I'm sure Al and Hue would talk it over and Al would give his opinion.

Hooray!

Hue Jackson said that he, and not Al Davis, is making the final decisions regarding his coaching staff:
