The argument that upsets me is when raider fans say "But we can't keep firing coaches year after year"
That's all good and well in terms of Al Davis, but Reggie hired the wrong guy. When we have another 4-12 season next year and have to fire Dennis Allen next offseason then I'm sure be waiting with anticipation for everyone who anticipated stability.
The Dennis Allen/Reggie McKenzie regime is/was bound to be a train wreck because there is not one offensive mind in that partnership. Reggie needs to hire a Offensive guru.
Can't stress how unexcited I have been for a raiders team. I'm still gonna come to games and tailgate with the badboys of bbq but after my last trip abroad this november I'm not gonna expect a whole lot of effort and fight in this raider dog when they're being coached by a preschooler.
Well said.
Well, Millernation claims that DA is just keeping the HC seat warm until next year

Word is that Andy Reid is going to KC. The Raiders better think long and hard about this open OC position and hire WISELY. I am not too worried about Andy Reid, a good coach but he is a soft coach. This is not a 2000-2004 Eagles squad with McNabb, Westbrook, Owens, Kearse, etc. However, I am worried if SD gets the likes of a Gruden (God no!) or similar. The point is though is that the division is getting better, and we better stay competitive.
Allen is and was simply not ready to be a HC. He should have stayed a DC for a while. You know my feelings on this staff. I drank the kool-aid last off-season and believed these clowns would right the ship. They failed. As far as I am concerned, if you are unsuccessful - you need to go. The only saving grace - bloated salaries, dead weight, unproductive players, etc. Next year, Allen has no excuse. EITHER DOES MCKENZIE.
We just have to wait and see.
