Deadspin (sports version of TMZ I guess) is reported TP scored a 7 on his wonderlic test.

Worderlic test is only one factor used in basing a decision like, height, weight, speed, etc.. Many argue it's validness to play QB but like I said it's another piece of the evaluation process.

BTW - Alex Smith of the whiners scored a 40.

Pryor's Wonderlic test: "The report of a seven test score is erroneous," says test giver, Steeler's GM
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/6914510/terrelle-pryor-wonderlic-score-better-7-says-pittsburgh-steelers-gm

Hey, you know they have the Wonderlic test online. Maybe we should do a Wonderlic league and post the results on here.  ;D

Here are some samples of the types of questions they ask you:
http://www.personality-and-aptitude-career-tests.com/sample-wonderlic-test.html

(seems pretty damned easy to me....I just took it and got them all right. Can't imagine only getting 7!)

by the way, it says on this website that Dan Marino got a 14. Well, that's not too high, but I guess it is twice as high as a 7! Former Raiders QB Vince Evans got an 8.

They also have posted the average team scores of a few teams. The Raiders scored 23.3. The 49ers scored 21.7.

http://www.personality-and-aptitude-career-tests.com/nfl-wonderlic-test.html

Nice...deadspin for ya....the kid is under the microscope and obviously some are looking for anything to bring the him down.

Thanks for the link Randy....i am curious in taking the test. I gotta beat Terry Bradshaw......

They also have posted the average team scores of a few NFL teams. The Raiders scored 23.3. The 49ers scored 21.7.

http://www.personality-and-aptitude-career-tests.com/nfl-wonderlic-test.html

this describes the test pretty wellhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wonderlic_Test

and here's an interesting predictor for the future success of a quarterback, based on Wonderlic plus a few other factors:

"John P. Lopez of Sports Illustrated proposes a 26-27-60 rule to predict a quarterback's success in the NFL: At least a 26 on the Wonderlic, at least 27 college starts, and at least 60% pass completion, and lists several examples of successes and failures based on the rule."

the bottom line I guess?:

"a 2009 study by Brian D. Lyons, Brian J. Hoffman, and John W. Michel found that Wonderlic test scores failed to positively and significantly predict future NFL performance for any position."

and here's an interesting thought....scoring TOO HIGH could be a problem too:

Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com observes that,

"scoring too high can be as much of a problem as scoring too low. Football coaches want to command the locker room. Being smarter than the individual players makes that easier. Having a guy in the locker room who may be smarter than every member of the coaching staff can be viewed as a problem — or at a minimum as a threat to the egos of the men who hope to be able when necessary to outsmart the players, especially when trying in some way to manipulate them."

Randy, it was either sign sheppard or activate Rod Woodson

or they could do what Greg talked about in one of his shows.....shove some of Rod Woodson's DNA up some DB's ASS!

7!  That is sad.  Most teams want at least a 21 for a quarterback...

Team announced the signing of former Pro Bowler Lito Sheppard via Twitter today. Finally some veteran depth at a position that needed it! Wish they would have done it sooner!

hallelujah!!! ;D  Not the best CB out there, but I welcome depth at the position because I AM TIRED OF WATCHING THE SECONDARY GET BURNED!!!

AMEN!  Great pick-up.  Some may say his best years are behind him as he is in his 9th year but a solid CB who might also bring some leadership to our young secondary.

At this point, I would settle for signing Elvis "Toast" Patterson

I don't know about the rest of you but #2 seems permanently tainted. I hope Pryor has some forethought about this and takes any other # available.
Or maybe it turns out #2 will suit him.....hmmmm.
He sure as hell is fast.

Pryor is an athlete.  I do remember a georgia qb who was turned into a wide receiver and did pretty damn good.  Superbowl MVP matter of fact.  He has been a athlete playing QB.  What can it hurt.  Our current QB is better than our receivers.  We have a greater need at receiver.  Welcome Slash 2.0

Where did our 2nd pick go? Thought we only lost our 3rd and 4th?

2012 NFL Draft for our Oakland Raiders...

2nd Round - Traded to Patriots

3rd Round - No pick - Terrelle Pryor

4th Round - No pick  - Jason Campbell

My buddy told me that we have two picks in the 2nd Round though next year...can someone confirm?

I personally still have hope for this season. Yea we have made some questionable moves recently that i think will haunt us next year but as for this season we are only really missing one impact player from last year (Mr. 21). As long as our defense of line can keep the the QB on his toes we hopefully wont see that much of an effect. Even in this preseason all these big plays were made with alot of our second and thrid string in. The players are getting healthy, we got D-mac back as well as Ford. Chaz will be back for the opener and by then hopefully we will only be missing Murphy, depending on how quickly Boss heals, which hopefully Moore would be able to replace him for now. Watching the plays they have been running we have seen none of the razzle dazzle that we seen last year and seeing how Jackson operates he probably wont show any until regular season. You can tell he is just running certain plays to figure out who will start in our trouble spots like o-line. I could be completely wrong and just trying to make excuses to help myself keep looking forward to this season but hey, true fans are true fans and i hope everyone starts looking forward to seeing our team play this year.

Mark my words: If Campbell screws up in any way, shape or form, he will NOT be re-signed and Pryor will be starting in 2012. END OF STORY

Just got back on to say we suck and looking at the way the roster has turned out this year I think it's safe to say I was right at the end of last season when I said this year will be our worst yet. Go...go...go..screw it it's not worth it anymore good bye raiders i'll start watching again in 5 years maybe Al will finally be dead. and terrelle pryor really!?! even Bill Oreily could not spin this in a positive way. Stop wasting money on this team or they will never learn stop going to games stop buying merch. Or just keep doing the same shit and be the league joke. That is all  :-X

Yeah, dude should take a pill on the Negative Nancy attitude toward the team man. A bit early to get all hot headed about our really young and developing team. I mean, what did you expect? We do have a weak division this season, so anything is possible. The T. Pryor pick is most definitely exciting and was well worth the third round pick. Better than most of our first rounders as of the past few years...

What's good Millernation? How have you been?

I was right at the end of last season when I said this year will be our worst yet.

Wow.. Thanks for that captain #hindsight.

I'm glad you told us so, based on a few lousy preseason games. Good to see a person getting off a bandwagon before it's actually getting a chance to move.

Who gives a rat's ass about Pryor?

Forgive me as I am not jumping for joy.  Typical Raiders BS "sexy pick."

The ESPN article says Oakland is looking at Pryor "more as a receiver than a NFL-caliber QB."  WTF dude?!

Our secondary SUCKS ASS right now.

I am fucking done with "prospects."  Can we please just add solid veteran players to this team????

He may be the only QB signed through 2012, with JC, Boller and Edwards contracts don't go beyond 2011. Lets face it the Raiders haven't been known for their development of QBs...especially young ones...I hope Hue Jackson who's had success in this area can use 2011 in developing his raw talent. Bye Bye Edwards make room for the kid at #3.

For now I'll refrain in passing judgement on the kid (he's is only that) and hope he can learn to become a pro. That fact that we've given up a 3rd round pick in next years draft tells be we'll put stock in his future. I guess change the name plates on your #2 jerseys...haha

Per Steve Cockran (Inside the Bay Area) WR Louis Murphy, CB Chris Johnson undergo surgery for undisclosed injuries, according to coach Hue Jackson. Murphy won't be back for opener.

Looks like D.Moore will be our #3 opening day....

I really dont like how Jackson's "niks" is starting to be "surgery". That's a little more than a nik coach. Oh well all i got to say is hopefully these are getting out of the way now rather than in the middle of the season you know. We still have 3 whole preseason games to go so that's a lot of time for these players to get their heal on.
Yeah, or a lot of time for MORE guys to get hurt.   :o

Ok, so say we cut Chaz.  So we'll lose another guy and get dickola for it.

I'm all for dumping him if we get another wideout...and I don't mean Chad Jackson :(

I hate to say it. But I think it is time to sever the cord on this kid. He is great when he plays. But that is not often. Make room for some other players.

and DHB is listed ahead of Louis Murphy and Denarius Moore...

http://www.footballnewsnow.com/2011/oakland-raiders-first-depth-chart-of-2011-wisniewski-second-string-for-now/

I'm just curious......is there anyone on this board/forum who thinks DHB should even be an NFL receiver much less on our fucking team? Anybody?
Okay, so he has been paid most of his money in bonus already, which means basically we already paid for him, we may as well use him right? NO! Put him behind the real ballers until he develops, IF he develops.
The old man sure is stubborn when he is wrong, and he is wrong this time. If I'm wrong, I'll happily embrace DHB, but I won't have to because he sucks ass. We have too many other receivers that can play better than him for him to be a starter.
If he caught 15 balls tonight for 200 yds, I would still be skeptical I think...
Will anyone stand up for him?

I say if he does not have a DRASTIC improvement this year. Cut him. But he is an Al guy, and we saw how long it took him to realize JaDummy was no good. So you can look forward to seeing DHB for some time I think.

They can’t cut DHB because of the Salary that they owe him and the acceleration to the salary cap.

The person I think that should be cut is DVD he just plain sucked on Thursday.

He couldn’t cover anyone.

You give the kid one... ONE preseason game and think he needs to be cut? How so? Nnamdi wasn't a star overnight.. Plus he had to go against one of the best in the league. Not like he as anyone like that to practice with....
