Raiders signed 6 of their 10 draft picks

The Raiders on Thursday signed six of their 10 selections in the 2013 NFL draft.

Tight ends Nick Kasa from Colorado and Mychal Rivera from Tennessee, Central Florida running back Latavius Murray, wide receiver Brice Butler from San Diego State, Oklahoma defensive tackle Stacy McGee and defensive end David Bass from Missouri Western State now are under contract.

Still unsigned are the Raiders first four selections: cornerback D.J. Hayden, offensive tackle Menelik Watson, linebacker Sio Moore and quarterback Tyler Wilson.

It's expected that the four unsigned draftees will be under contract before the Raiders begin training camp in Napa in late July.

Remember how Haden mentioned during his interview at rookie mini-camp that he actually had a friend of his punch him in the chest, to help make him feel that he's back to his old self? Maybe he should lay off the punches....to the chest....or......the abdomen! Kind of makes me wonder if this abdominal problem could be related. His body is still healing, and he's asking guys to punch him.

Rolando McClain of the Baltimore Ravens was arrested Sunday night and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

According to WHNT News, McClain was in his hometown of Decatur, Georgia at Pines Park when a large group gathered. Police ordered McClain and several other people to leave, and witnesses said McClain not only refused to do so, but began cursing at the officers.

McClain was handcuffed and taken to the city jail before bonding out a short time later.

McClain signed with the Ravens earlier this month after being released by the Oakland Raiders. In January, McClain was arrested in Decatur because of a window-tint violation and reportedly gave a false name to the police.

Geez...this guy is just unbelievable! Just goes to show how big a crap shoot the draft can be. He was said to be one of the smartest & most intelligent LBs to ever play the position....apparently he used it all up.

It's the only retort that RAIDER-NATION has got. His biggest weakness (a trait Al Davis judges QB's by) is arm strength.
So when someone wants to point this out, that the Raiders wide receivers (Ford & Moore) best skills are going downfield for deep ball. they wanna say He is Rich Flynn or Matt Gannon.

Lemme tell you something.. RIch Gannon was blessed with 2 H.O.F Wide receivers. He owes as much of that MVP award to Tim Brown and Jerry Rice then he does to himself.

I do like the stories of Gannon getting rid of the pool table. But lets not kid ourselves with the Flynn=Gannon comparisons because Flynn couldn't even beat out a rookie (albeit a talented one in Russ Wilson)

Will 2013 be a tough yr...it will no doubt. But don't you think we are quietly having a great offseason? Great offseason being ridding ourselves of the overpriced contracts and dead weight. It's only been one yr under the new regime and they need time(only been one yr). They can't preach building for the long term and then fire the head coach in 2 yrs(then nothing changes). 2014 will be the first yr they can really begin (full slot of draft picks and $$ well below the cap).

l will say I hated to lose wheeler and Bryant but everyone else...blah..fine w/me.
