We were expecting big improvements from the "new look" Raiders, but it looked like the same old bottom of the heap Raiders on Friday vs the Vikings in Minnesota. Raider Greg gives his view of the game and the view of two sides of the Raider Nation.

Segment #1: Raider Nation News

1. The Denver Chapter of the Oakland Raiders Soldiers Booster Club is putting on their 3rd Annual BBQ Potluck on Saturday July 26th, 10am, at OK Park in Denver.

2. The Crusader Raider Keith Smith met with Menelik Watson at Wembley Stadium, as Menelik was there to promote the Raiders upcoming London game vs the Miami Dolphins.

Segment #2: Roger Goodell makes an unexpected statement at 49ers Levi's Stadium ribbon cutting ceremony

Roger Goodell opened his speech at the 49ers stadium dedication by suggesting that the Oakland Raiders share the stadium.

Segment #3: The Oakland Raiders, 2014's "Cinderella Team" of the NFL?

Raider Greg makes a bold prediction: The Oakland Raiders will prove to be 2014's "Cinderella Team" of the NFL. Mainstream media is ranking the Raiders as the #32 team in the power rankings. They are ranking head coach Dennis Allen as the 32nd best head coach in the NFL. Raider Greg points out that the Raiders coaching staff has been together for a few years now and the players have had time to digest the playbook. The Raiders have a lot of veteran players with huge chips on their shoulders after being under appreciated by their former teams. The Raiders team as a whole have a lot to prove, after hearing so many negative comments concerning expectations for the Raiders in 2014. He also make a specific bold prediction: "On December 7th, the Oakland Raiders will KICK THE ASSES of the San Francisco 49ers in the Oakland Coliseum!"

Segment #1: Make your travel plans for the Raiders in London

The Raiders game in London on September 28th will be epic. Raider Nation Podcast will be there with our video camera and microphone. Lots of pre-game parties and events. The Crusader Raider is preparing to welcome Raider Nation to his home town and you won’t want to miss this opportunity if you can possibly make it.

The 4th of July is Al Davis’ birthday. We miss him, and we pay tribute to his life and accomplishments. We hear an excerpt from the NFL network program "Al Davis, A Football Life", along with words from Al Davis.

Segment #3: Oakland Raiders support M.A.D.D.

The Raiders are one of several teams who are taking steps to insure that there are designated drivers when fans are leaving games. How did the media respond? Raider Greg will tell you.

Segment #4: “A Tale of Two Players”

Rolando McClain was recently picked up by the Dallas Cowboys, after saying not that long ago that he did not wish to play football anymore. Raider Greg looks back and compares the differences in McClain's career as compared to another Raiders' linebacker Miles Burris. We hear an interview Raider Greg did with Miles during his first year with the Raiders in 2012, plus an interview with Miles' mother Donna.

Segment #5: The Media is reaching for stories during this dead time of the season

Enough of the “best teams ever, best quarterback ever, Top 10 receivers, Top 10 RBs, Top 100 Players of all time” etc, etc. How may Oakland Raiders players are on these lists? We can’t wait until training camp starts, because NFL news right now is weak.
