Dumervil told the Broncos he was resigning with them...agreed to a $4 Million pay cut to stay with a Superbowl contender, told his agent....but the fax from the agent to the Broncos didn't arrive until 6 minutes after the deadline.....and the Broncos were forced to cut him 7 minutes earlier. Dumervil has since fired his agent.

"Elvis Dumervil had made up his mind.

He would slash $4 million from his salary in order to stay with the Denver Broncos, the team that drafted him in 2006, rather than take a chance on the free agent market and risk playing for less money or a for a team that wouldn't be a Super Bowl contender...Dumervil's signed contract didn't spit out of a fax machine at Broncos' headquarters until six minutes after deadline, at 4:06 p.m. Seven minutes earlier, the Broncos had filed paperwork of their own, formally releasing Dumervil and voiding the rest of his contract that was to pay him $12 million guaranteed in 2013.

The latter transaction is the one that will count with league, not the verbal agreement Dumervil and the team reached a short time earlier, and the end result is that Dumervil is a free agent.

The Broncos are relieved of Dumervil's $12 million salary, but have also lost a core player they were hoping to keep."

I love it!

CBS Sportswriter Jason LaConfora thinks Alex Smith is going to the KC Chiefs
95.7 "The Game" - Feb. 25, 2013

The 49ers have reportedly told Alex Smith that a trade is done, but they can't announce it yet by league rules. They said the trade is not to the Cardinals, and speculation is that the trade IS with the Chiefs.

They also discuss Carson Palmer's situation with the Raiders and Manti Te'o

Greg Knapp just hired as the QB coach of the Denver Donkeys.   This guy must have compromising pictures of executives.  This guy is the ultimate terd and keeps getting jobs.  Well, at least he can't mess this one up.

Peyton Manning's no-huddle offense could solve riddle of the Raiders

The Broncos are 1-8 at home the last 3 seasons vs the Raiders, Chargers, and Chiefs....but 6-3 on the road. Seven of the Broncos first nine games in 2012 will be against 2011 playoff teams.

I don't know whether to be impressed by Boss's instinct to add to the rivalry, or to laugh. I mean, KC is paying him 25% less than Oakland did. So he's on the better side? Of what? He's certainly not on the better side of the paycheck.

Well, it's done and once I got over the initial "shit, why couldn't he just have gone to the Titans" I have to say I'm not all that bothered. The guy's one sack away from being back on the surgeon's table and at least we don't have to put up with the Tebow bs twice a year.

I'm comfortable we can score points with anyone in the division, just need to sort that D out.

Yeah I hear ya...now that the initial "shit" factor is over it definitely changes the outlook in the AFC West for years to come. Denver automatically becomes an instant favor in winning the AFC West and it's a huge test and measuring gauge for our defense. What a better gauge of our good our D is then playing Manning twice a year. We gotta play the best to beat the best. Looking forward to the challenge.

I look at it this way - the day we fear the donkeys is the day we stop being raider fans.

Would Manning have stopped the Patriots flattening them in the playoffs? No. He's an upgrade (if he stays healthy) but they're still a work in progress, same as us. I can see it being a very close division again this year.

For some reason after the inital shock of Manning going to Denver I have embraced the past.  Just because he goes to Denver doesn't mean that the will be any better....on paper it looks killer.  I'm thinking about Joe Montana when he went to KC.....that was the end of his career....he was never the same.  I'm hoping that this will be the case with the Donks.  They still need a reliable running back and capable receivers which they don't have.  To be honest I knew we were in trouble the day that the Donks landed their current head coach John Fox.  That dude is a defensive guru, I live in VA and have watched his body of work in NC so I knew he was gonna give us trouble.  People look at Allen is the reason why Denver's D improved....but I think it was really John Fox behind the scenes.  I look for Denver's Defense to rank in the top 15 this year....especially if they sign Porter.

Hopefully for us, our defense will improve......I have the uttermost confidence in our offense and I believe that Palmer is gonna have a killer year especially with an improved offensive line.  Reggie knows that you have to win in the trenches and I'm loving the moves he has made with the O-line.  I like our position because I think that we'll be overlooked.....this gives us a chance to smack everyone in the mouth this year.  I don't know if we'll make the playoffs....I'm not expecting us to do that for another 2 or 3 years....but we gonna make some noise this year.

I dont want that guy anywhere near my team. The media cirxus would be fucking ridiculous

i think the raiders will fly under the radar this season. i'm hoping for a season better then a 6-10 / 7-9 year but Tebow got too many lucky breaks & if you always bet on black. Eventually it will land on red.

i want tebow to go curse some other team. Not my raiders.

I don't get it...he went to Denver because of the "familiarity" with John Elway?  He went there because they had the most cap room.  All the other teams had more weapons, so spare me.  He didn't want to win, he went for the dough.  He has more money than he can spend right now...

I have had bad taste in my mouth for Peyton ever since he was crying about not wanting to play his brother.... :'( :'(...I don't want to be in the NFC.. :'( :'(...shut up already.

I am looking forward to Peyton on his ass....

Eric Winston is the Chiefs’ new right tackle
The Kansas City Chiefs announced Saturday that they have signed offensive tackle Eric Winston.

Winston is 28 years old, a terrific athlete for his size, and he hasn’t missed a start since the 2006 season. While transitioning away from Houston’s zone blocking to the Chiefs’ power-based scheme is a slight concern, there’s little doubt that Winston will be a huge upgrade in Kansas City.

This article on ArrowheadPride.com says, "Stunningly, many Raider fans haven't left Oakland and haven't realized that every team's fan base adds "Nation" onto the end of their names."

Yeah, we're well aware of that fact, and we're also well aware that they are all copy-cats. Am I right?

In case any of you hadn't seen, Knowshon Moreno of the Donkeys got a DWI last month.

Now, it's not funny is that he could have killed someone and that he's a irresponsbile a-hole...what is funny is that he has custom vanity plates that read "SAUCED"

What an idiot.

Teabag complete 2 out of 8 passes and get a qb rating over 100.  I guess the Qb rating isn't as great a formula as I thought.  It's like being accused of sexual harassment and going up in the polls
