I'm not sure how you can be in control of your own destiny when you're not in 1st place, but I guess he's assuming that the other AFC West teams will stumble along the way and give the Raiders a chance to move into 1st. We wouldn't even be in a position to possibly catch Denver and San Diego if they hadn't already been stumbling like crazy. Let's hope they don't stop losing and we can start winning.
