Tim Tebow traded to NY Jets

Tim Tebow traded to NY Jets

The Broncos traded Tim Tebow plus their 7th round pick to the Jets for their 4th and 6th round picks in 2012. Boy, the Broncos didn't get much for Tebow considering they drafted him in the 1st round.

WOW! He DID come down....HARD!  :o
Too bad it wasn't the Broncos.

Wow NFL commish lay'th the smack down on the Saints.....

Looks like DA is in the clear....

No word yet on individual player suspensions yet...I'm mostly curious about if Porter will be suspended and reason he hasn't come in for a visit yet.

Leinart could be no worse than Boller in my opinion....or maybe he could.  We desperately need a backup QB...man I wish we would have retained Jason Campbell.

Tim Tebow to 49ers - could Denver Bronco's star be on Niners radar?
http://www.mercurynews.com/breaking-news/ci_20213603/inman-tim-tebow-49ers-could-denver-broncos-star

I love it! I heard them talking about this on bay area radio this morning and couldn't wait to call my 49ers fan friend Mike. He hadn't heard about it, so I really got him going. I said, "well....are you ready to get down on your knee by your end-zone seat and start "Tebowing" with your fist under your chin? He was moaning, "ohhhhh noooo". I tried to call Greg to add him in as a conference call, so we could both rub it in to Mike.... but he didn't answer darn it!  ;D

Guess SF bowed out.  Reports now are GB, Miami, and Jax in the hunt for Tebow with a the Jets as a longshot

Well the Dolphins signed Garrard to a 1 year deal so I'd say Smith will stay with the Niner :/

Who do we think we get as a back-up?

Probably Leinhart given his history with Greg Knapp....thoughts?

Per Adam Schefter, The Tennessee Titans and Kamerion Wimbley have agreed to terms on a 5-year, $35 million deal with the DE/OLB.   He could restructured here for that amount, but he didn't want to.  Good riddance.

Does tebow get traded or does he remain a backup behind manning? This is how you make 15+ completions per game says manning :p

Sign Here   X________

They have to trade him.  1st pick Peyton throws they'll be cheering for Tebow to come in.  Primadonna Peyton does not want that around.  That horsefaced-looking John Elway has been shitting on Tebow since he got there.  Now is his chance to trade him.  Denver is straight up classless.  Elway talking about how they "haven't found their quarterback" in the middle of the kid's winning streak.  Then he has the balls to give Tebow a great big bear hug on the sidelines after each win.

FUCK THEM

Peyton Manning picks Broncos
http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/7709195/barring-snag-peyton-manning-picks-denver-broncos-sources-say

Without a doubt!  Broncos are the weakest of his "top 3".  Picking the Cardinals would have more of an upside.

Just a tidbit I found...Gallery cut from the Seahawks....this guy was never as good as he thought he was and was often injured....

http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=2&cid=1167866&nid=5743693&fhn=1

His size can't be denied though, 6'7", 325...a FN monster

Update by Randy: Here's another article on Gallery that just came out today:

Damn!  >:(  Finnegan is going to sign with with St. Louis.  I really wanted this guy.  Not the most talented guy we could get but he would have brought toughness to the team.  Oh well....make it happen Coaching staff 'cuz the DBs we have right now ain't gonna get it done!

I wouldnt of wanted him for that Price (50 MIL). Were trying to get pass this overpaying for these players. LOL. Isnt Tracy Porter still available? And i hope they can get Terrance Newman only cuz my last name is Newman and my name could be on a Jersey...LMAO :P

I think we will land Porter, given Coach Allen's history with him.  There have been whispers of that for a while now...

Lots of nice players out there...let's make some moves Oakland!

Redskins lose $36 Million in cap space, Cowboys lose $10 Million.
28 teams were compensated with an extra $1.6 Million in cap room. The Raiders and Saints did not receive the extra cap space because they apparently violated rules too, by front loading contracts during the 2010 uncapped season. They just didn't violate to the extremes that the Redskins and Cowboys did.

I don't understand why the Redskins lose $36 Million and the Coyboys lose $10.....but the Raiders and Saints don't really "lose" any space....they just don't "gain" the extra $1.6 Million that the other 28 teams do. Does the league know that the Raiders and Saints cheated, but they just don't know how MUCH they cheated? Only that they cheated LESS than the Redskins and Cowboys? Why are the Raiders and Saints being penalized the exact same amount? Is the league saying, "well....we KNOW you cheated somehow, but we're not sure how MUCH you cheated....so we're just not going to let you share this extra cap space with the other teams." Seems kind of strange to me. I think we'll be getting some clarification, hopefully, as Bay Area media starts putting out more news on this situation.

Probably what the NFL said behind closed doors was...."hey, remember how Al Davis was resigning all those guys right before the lockout? We knew he was up to something......we just weren't sure what.....so since he's dead now..........why don't we just penalize his team?......since he's not around to sue us for it."

Update:

I just read something that clarifies the Raiders 2010 cap "violation" (even though there was no cap):

As to the Saints and Raiders, who won’t lose cap space but likewise won’t get the $1.6 million per team that will be redistributed based on the cap space taken from the Redskins and Cowboys, it’s our understanding that the violations were far less severe.  For the Raiders, the dumping of salary in 2010 arose specifically from the dumping of JaMarcus Russell from the roster.

BLOCKBUSTER TRADE

Redskins trade their 1st round picks in 2012, 2013, and 2014....plus their 2nd round pick in 2012 to the Rams for the 2nd overall pick in the 2012 draft. All to move up just 4 spots in this year's 1st round, presumably so they can draft Heisman Trophy winning QB Robert Griffin III. I guess Daniel Snyder and Shanahan like this guy!

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/09000d5d82780a74/Redskins-give-up-three-first-rounders-for-No-2-pick

http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/09000d5d8278079f/article/redskins-acquire-second-overall-pick-in-deal-with-rams

the redskins give up a ton for a #2 pick ... can we trade them our #1 pick qb? (russell, not palmer.) he says he's in shape, after having been out of the league for 2 years.

the rams get a ton for their #2 pick, while our #1 pick was freaking wasted. sigh. we're not even really benefitting from the rookie cap that russell's failure led to ... instead, our rookie picks go to seymour and palmer.

funny how teams will give up so much for a player who's yet to play a down, while russell's phone remains silent. the extent of his failure still boggles the mind.

and i really don't want peyton manning going to the fucking broncos or chiefs. god damn it. go to miami. i don't give a shit about miami. but not the fucking broncos or chiefs. jesus.
