McClain could be cut by the Ravens if they gave him a "one strike and you're out" deal. If he goes on wavers and no other team wants to give him a 3rd chance, he could be out of the league after 3 seasons.

JRuss' trainers say his current 288 lbs. equals "15% bodyfat" - yeah right!

JaMarcus Russell shares ideal NFL comeback scenario
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2013/04/09/jamarcus-russell-nfl-comeback-scenario/2069203/

I don't know what JaMarcus Russell's personal trainers are using to calculate his body fat percentage, but this online BMI "Body Mass Index" calculator (link below) comes up with a slightly different answer.

Type in his height (6 feet 6 inches), weight (288 lbs), then click "Compute BMI".....and you'll get 33.3% body fat. Between 25-30% is considered "overweight". Above 30% is considered "obese". Oh, but he's only 15%....I forgot.

To be fair, the most accurate method is to weigh you in a tank of water. Otherwise, just using height and weight, there's no way of knowing how much of your weight is muscle and how much is fat. But still, I kind of doubt he's 15% body fat, even in a tank. Or on the moon!

Stadium fans get look into locker rooms - "Enhancing the Fan Experience"
By BARRY WILNER, AP Pro Football Writer

Hey, NFL fans, here's a new view for you at the stadium: the locker rooms.

The NFL has ordered all teams to have cameras in their locker rooms next season, with video shown only on stadium scoreboards. It's part of Commissioner Roger Goodell's initiative for "enhancing the fan experience in our stadiums."

The videos will be available on team apps as well.

Each team will operate the cameras and will determine what is shown on the video boards and apps. The Cowboys already have been making such videos available to fans.

"Our philosophy is to always look for ways to improve," Goodell has said...

I lost 66 pounds in 10 months as part of my 2012 New Years resolution, surprised a guy that big cant shed more.

losing the weight is the easier part. can he study? can he stay awake during meetings? can he read defenses? can he not have his passes sail high so his receivers don't get killed reaching for them? this is all being hyped like some rocky comeback or karate kid bullshit. russell can wax on and wax off all he wants, but he showed absolutely zero leadership and the video doesn't show that being addressed at all. and those fierce looks when he's lifting weights ... where was that when he played for the raiders? he never looked that interested in anything, except maybe the skittles hidden in his pants.

Tim Brown has some ideas about Cowboys WRs Dez Bryant & Miles Austin
ProFootballTalk.com

With Bill Callahan as their new offensive coordinator, the Cowboys won’t be inviting former Raiders receiver Tim Brown to practice any time soon. But in case anyone is interested in hearing what he thinks, Brown has some ideas about how Cowboys receivers Dez Bryant and Miles Austin can stay healthy.

Brown didn’t go so far as to say that Austin and Bryant are “sabotaging” their careers, but he does think they need to change their ways.

Hue Jackson says Al Davis offered him the General Manager job
Jim Trotter, SI

...Jackson claims that before being hired as offensive coordinator in 2010, Al Davis offered him the position of general manager. Jackson says he turned it down because his passion is coaching and working with players. He says he and Davis never discussed him taking the head coach position -- contrary to speculation that he accepted the coordinator position with an eye on the top job, held by Tom Cable at the time...

The ROONEY RULE & Opinions
« Reply #147 on: March 04, 2013, 10:21:57 PM »
Now my opinion on the matter may differ from others but that's what makes it an opinion. I believe that the NFL's Rooney Rule ( which was implemented in 2003 to make it a requirement by NFL clubs to interview minorities for coaching positions on their teams) is that it's unnecessary. I understand why this Rule has been placed in the league  but in my eyes its unnecessary. Personally I don't want to be hired for a job based on my ethnicity. I want the job because the employer believes I am the best person for the job. It'd be more of a slap in the face being interviewed just because a team has to by league rules. Now the Lions were fined 200,000 because they found a coach they wanted for their team, hired that coach before another team had the chance to intervene & didn't spend their time probing the open market for other candidates they had no intention of hiring, minority or other. I don't want my team losing out on the opportunity to have the likes of a John Madden or a Tony Dungy coaching my team just  because they spent their valuable time  interviewing other coaches just so they won't be fined. Same goes for the players. I want the best player for the position & the best coach for the job. It's 2013 for crying out loud.... can we get over this crap!?!

 http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooney_rule#section_4

On Mr. Umm-uhhh McKenzie, we have to have patience with this guy, not only through his BOOORING press conferences  but with his actions in building our team. D.A. on the other hand needs to go get his balls out of the pickle jar & duct tape those suckers back on or "at the end-of-the-day" his ass will be hittin' the road jack!

It's BS.  Hire the best person for the job, bottom line.

Moss plans to play at least one more year
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/01/27/moss-plans-to-play-at-least-one-more-year/

for those who know football, they realize how important Moss has been to the San Fran offense.  He is no longer a #1 but a serious threat that must be accounted for easing pressure off Crabtree and Davis.  I would be interested to see him in arizona if the 9ers don't keep him and give some relief to Fitzgerald.  Then if they sign Vick, they would have a potential for a very good offense

FUCK RANDY MOSS..... HE IS DEAD TO THE RAIDER NATION BRO!

I'm surprised Harris was actually able to hit him. I'd expect him to make a move on the guy and miss ... repeatedly. You'd think the guy could have just walked right past Harris, after Harris false started a few times.
