I agree getting rid of Hue was stupid.  But if you kept him and he was successful, Mckiz's plan was screwed because he then couldn't justify dumping Mr. Bubbles.  Allen is a placeholder until Mckiz get some high draft picks and better talent.  Allen won't be successful with what he has.  After 3 losing season, he will be dumped and a high profile coach will come in to coach up the high draft picks

Allen won't be around for the success.  He is there to cheaply fill space until McKen builds the team he wants, then he will go get a coach he wants

HueJax was fired so Reggie could hire his guy. WTF is this shit about a 2nd Reggie guy?

i think it's idiotic that we took such a young coach. It has previously worked because we had one of the greatest football minds in the history of the game tutoring these spring chickens.

Reggie has about as much football knowledge as a wet paper bag. He may have an eye for talent. But will never measure up to Al Davis.

I'm just fucking dumstruck that we got rid of Hue. Obviously Hue was the guy handpicked by Al & AD must of known his days were numbered.

Shits gonna get worse before it gets good.

As l said before...it's a crapshoot Randy!...no guarantee or proven record to indicate Reggie will have success...we lose more then 8 ganes in my eyes Reggie failed and went backwards...you wanna use the rebuild excuse go ahead....our rebuilding was started when DMC was drafted on this team....it's built around him now were going to trash his career and all the time we spent getting here? Just to bring in Reggie's guys and HOPE his plan works?  I'll be back here in 3-4 years when we do nothing more then we have the last 2...I'll say I told you so!....plus Just cause Gruden is happy dont mean he wouldn't consider it

Don't get down on the raiders too much, they are a 5 win team this season.  They are rebuilding.  4 years from now, they will have hired a new, experienced coach, revamped their defense and have a sh!tload of new draft picks.  I know don't like hearing such talk, but I am realistic about my team.  The G.M. blew up the team so he could create it in the image he wants.  That takes time
He'll fail... and destroy the fan base in the process
Why do you think he'll fail? He had long-term success in Green Bay, and seems to be following the same formula he used there.
...we could of hired Jon Gruden and did something with DMC and continue the progress made over the last 3 years!
Not so sure we could have hired Gruden. He had just re-signed a long-term contract with the network, and I think he prefers his career at an analyst. He gets to travel around and mingle with every team, all the players he likes. He's in the limelight on prime time football each week. I doubt that he'd be interested in taking on a project like the Raiders. I think that if a coach DOES have success in Oakland, it would be a great feather in his cap....since no one has had much success there in a decade now. And if you go back to before those 3 or 4 years we had success in the Gruden era....we didn't have much success for another 17 years.

I understand what you're saying, but I think we need to give McKenzie and Allen a few years to see what happens. They inherited a team that needed a lot of work, players, and dicipline (penalties).....had no cap space, etc. etc. It's not fair to judge them after an off season with only a few draft choices, no cap space...instituting a new blocking scheme, new defense etc. I would have loved it if we had had instant success, but I'm not that surprised that we're 1-3 at this point. We've played some tough teams....and we did beat Pittsburgh, and would have beaten the Chargers if our long snapper hadn't gotten hurt. Four games is way too short to judge them in my opinion. All the teams who are on top now were pretty crappy for a long time before they started doing well. Yeah, we've been crappy for a long time now, and everyone is tired of waiting....but Al was short on time and sold some of our future to try to roll the dice and get another shot at a Superbowl. It didn't work, so now we're suffering from the result. Players he picked that didn't pan out, draft choices and money that were spent.

I know that the draft is a crap-shoot, and I've heard that McKenzie shares that opinion. That's why he favors trading down in the draft so he can get more picks. Since all picks don't pan out, the more picks you have the more chance to strike gold in his opinion. As long as your research team does a good job finding promising prospects, and you give yourself a better than 50% chance at finding starters....then his philosophy of getting lots of picks should pay off over a few drafts. So I'm just going to wait and see for a while (but it's hard!).  :-\

Why do you think he'll fail? He had long-term success in Green Bay, and seems to be following the same formula he used there.
The reason why he had success in GB for one is he had a good GM above him for one!... Two he had Aaron Rogers the best QB in the NFL right now... ANY team will succeed in the NFL with a QB like him!  Very easy to build around!  Plus GB has had more success in the last 15 years then the Raiders..... they've been too 3 SB's since 1997 and won 2 of them!  The Raiders haven't won one in 30 YEARS! and burned thru 7 coaches in 8 years?  I mean his strategy won't work like people think.... I mean he's clearing cap space but for what?  To bring in more "Project" low budget players and get high draft picks?  Let's get one thing straight.... NO GUARANTEES in the draft!  and So we are going to say fuck the next 2-3 years to "Rebuild" make the fan base wait thru 2-3 years of garbage football to HOPE that these picks and moves bring success?...where we all know it's a crap shoot!  So we are basing our future of a proud storied franchise on a Ex-AVERAGE player that is a rookie GM that he picks the right guys and HOPES they pay off is a very clouded future and uncertainty... That strategy he uses only has been successful in a hand full of teams.... ALot of those teams have FRANCHISE QB's to build around... we got a QB that has 2-3 years left...then what? wait for the next Jim Plunkett esk pick by Reggie?  I mean that is a HUGE risky future with a fan base hanging by a thread of 10 years of getting your nuts ripped every year and expect them to be patient thru 2-3 more years of garbage to reset the team with Reggie's players?  Let me say this when he does get "His Guys" and they fail I'll be on here to remind you that 2-3 years ago (right now) we could of hired Jon Gruden and did something with DMC and continue the progress made over the last 3 years!

The fan base will go NOWHERE.  They know it.  They will give you just enough hope to keep you around until they succeed.  Many fans aren't realistic.  They are delusional.  Just look at the cowgirl fans. Don't you see the raiders for life diehards.  They can' say, sorry fans, we are rebuilding and won't be good for a few years.  Just heard a guy say he bleeds silver and black.  You don't lose those fans.  One raider fan wrote recently:
The offense is set, and explosive! Greg Knapps job is not to fuck it up! Our first defensive minded head coach since John Madden in Dennis Allen who has not got one negative comment
You don't lose fans not based in reality

YOU CAN EAT SHIT AND PLAY “GO HIDE AND GO BLOW YOUR FUCKING BRAINS OUT!”  MCFADDEN HAS ONLY BEEN CONSISTANTLY SUCCESSFUL WHEN RUNNING TO THE OUTSIDE, BUT WERE GOING TO KEEP RUNNING HIM UP THE MIDDLE WITH A NEW BLOCKING SCHEME AND THEN EXPECT FUCKING MIRACLES… FUCK THAT SHIT!  AND FUCK YOU TOO, FOO!  WATCH FILM FROM LAST YEAR YOU DIP SHIT!!!
DEAR DEFENSE COORDINATOR;

2011: Raiders 23 - Broncos 20
2010: Raiders 59 - Broncos 14
2009: Raiders 20 - Broncos 19
2008: Raiders 31 - Broncos 10
2007: Broncos 23 - Raiders 20 (OT)

This will be a closer game than a lot of people think. I'd guess no more than one score either way.

Ok, maybe not :(

And for all of the Bronco dominance in the late 90's / early 00's the Raiders still have a 17 game advantage on them all time. Not to mention a winning record in every decade bar one.

Convenient how the media forgets all this and continues to paint Denver as a model franchise with the Raiders being the village idiots.

We're supposed to be terrified of Manning yet nobody mentions how McFadden has owned Denver?

This will be a closer game than a lot of people think. I'd guess no more than one score either way.
